I want to be a good chef
Two important factors influencing my goals are my children and my mother. Firstly, I am currently the mother of two children. My life has changed dramatically as I became a mother after I married. I started to be interested in cooking, health, and the well-being of my children. I started to identify better organic ingredients and studied cooking equipment and ingredients. Also, I now enjoy constantly collecting and analyzing healthy and nutritious recipes. Secondly, my mother is the owner-chef of a Japanese restaurant, so I often worked to help her in her restaurant. Working in there included everything from serving, plating, purchasing ingredients, simple cooking, and cashier. These are the starting points of my cooking life.
Culinary is my life
Like the photo above, I am always cooking in real life. I enjoy not only Korean food, but also Japanese cuisine. Also, I am learning baking for the first time this fall semester, which is very interesting. Finally, I want to learn a variety of dishes and expand my cooking range.
About me:
Culinary Biography

Hi! I'm Jee
I am a Culinary Management Program student at George Brown College. Before I came to Canada, I worked for major corporations, Korean and Japanese restaurants, and the Popeye kitchen chain in South Korea. I creatively planned all the company events and methodically managed all the employees. I also contributed to an increase in the restaurants' profits where I worked through a thorough analysis as a manager. All these career experiences are my most valuable asset and my driving force now. My goal is to graduate from the Culinary Management program at George Brown College and to be a good chef
at a famous hotel in Toronto.

George Brown College: Chef School
I am a culinary management program student at George Brown College this fall semester to make my cooking study more systematic and professional. Currently, I am not working in the industry, but I would like to experience a variety of external experiences and internship programs before graduation. My dream is to become a more professional chef based on my past careers and the knowledge and experiences I learn at school.

My culinary philosophy: Mom’s cuisine
There are many visually colorful and luxurious dishes these days, but I still miss my mom's neat and hearty dinner. The reason I miss my mom's home meal is that cooking is related to our health and hygiene, not just taste. Above all, mother's cooking is the most reliable and sincere food. My culinary philosophy is the nostalgia for the home meal that my mother serves me. In other words, my culinary motto is to provide customers with food for my Childs.
This is very clear to me.

My favorite chef: Jamie Oliver & Words
Jamie Oliver led the campaign called "feed me better"(Wikipedia contributors, 2020). I absolutely agree with this campaign because, in the modern world, I think that foods that improve quality and consider health are in the spotlight.
As a chef who opposed the use of processed food in public school meals and contributed to the reform of foodservice, he insisted that children should eat a healthy diet instead of junk food (Wikipedia contributors, 2020). The reason I admire Jamie Oliver is that his culinary philosophy is like me, and the direction of the culinary pursuit is the same as me. The most basic factor in cooking is health, and I think this should be prioritized.

My blogging experience & Great culinary blog
I want to systematically save and manage my recipes and culinary experiences through this blog experience. Also, I want to share my secret recipes with other people and get a lot of good information through other people's blogs.
The site I visit most often these days is as follows. This site explains various foods and cooking recipes, so I think it will be helpful for my blog activities.
